SUMMARY

As a Pharmacist Manager, you will be a valued member of a collaborative healthcare team working to serve patients living in Winnipeg and surrounding areas in Manitoba. Your enhanced scope of practice will include compounding and counselling our patients to improve lives and the health of the people you serve. Your practice will be patient-centered and include ongoing direct collaboration with other healthcare professionals as a trusted provider of Healthcare solutions.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  
    Ensuring compliance with the Provincial Pharmaceutical Regulations, Practice Standards and Guidelines set by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba within our pharmacy
  •  
    Manage pharmacy staff, including orientation, training, employee accountabilities, and leadership
  •  
    Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely in accordance with the provincial and NIHB Claims standards
  •  
    Ensure compliance with standards of procedure set by the pharmacy
  •  
    Provide patient-focused, positive outcome care with strong efforts to collaborate with healthcare professionals
  •  
    Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and other healthcare professionals
  •  
    Provide medication information to all health professionals and consult with healthcare team on various therapies
  •  
    Greet customer and gather prescription information for entry into our digital systems
  •  
    Manage cash register
  •  
    Provide accurate information in response to customer inquiries
  •  
    Counsel patients appropriately on new and repeat medications
  •  
    Receive and process new and repeat prescription orders either from fax or in-person patients
  •  
    Prepare and submit orders of medications including controlled drugs and narcotics
  •  
    Adjudicate third party billing, online and manage manual Third-Party Accounts, collecting outstanding amounts from customers where necessary
  •  
    Manage incoming faxes according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice
  •  
    Accurately file completed documentation as per Pharmacy Standards of Practice.
  •  
    Generate reports as required
  •  
    Manage daily medication deliveries
  •  
    Manage prescription preparations and provide additional professional services including administration of injections and vaccines and manage daily and OAT patients
  •  
    Maintain proper storage of medications within the pharmacy
  •  
    Maintaining perpetual inventory system in Kroll software
  •  
    Ensure records and actual narcotics and controlled medication inventory
  •  
    Manage customer returns and expired products in accordance with established disposal protocol
  •  
    Verify expired product is removed from the shelf and returned in-time
  •  
    Maintain professionalism at all times

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  •  
    Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  •  
    Licensed by the Manitoba Provincial College of Pharmacists
  •  
    Maintain Continuing Education Requirements for College of Pharmacists of Manitoba
  •  
    Previous management experience preferred
  •  
    Proficiency on Kroll software is required
  •  
    Exceptional customer service skills
  •  
    Effective communication skills
